On July 2 I left a wonderful group of ladies (and a few gentlemen) and set sail from the birth center to the emergency department. I've explained the circumstances that made me want to leave countless times, but it basically all boils down to new management and the interactions I have had with them thus far. I have no respect or loyalty to give to the new boss and I just wanted to get out as soon as I could since we weren't really given a final answer on the official change.
There are multiple pros and cons; the first and major con was leaving my huge work family (this is just a handful of them). Why didn't I take more pictures before I left? I think because it was hard for me to really come to terms that I was actually leaving.
+ having more days off with my off, - not working with my bff anymore
+ day shift, - setting a very early alarm
+ being on the same schedule while Ken is in kindergarten, - no weekends off
+ scrubs, - they look like prison garb
I got too sad to list anymore. I just started my training schedule yesterday but so far even while I'm tired I'm finding it hard to get to sleep at a decent hour; my internal clock is still on evening mode, so needless to say there is going to be a large adjustment period. Overall, I am looking forward to this new venture and I truly hope it works out.
