a horse named carter + an impromptu meal share

As I mentioned in my last post, Brendon surprised Kennedy by taking her to ride Carter, my brother-in-law's girlfriend's horse, and she had an absolute blast.

^^ Pure love. Melts my heart to see her so content and happy.

She was taught how to make him turn, stop, and back up. Where he is boarded they also offer horseback riding lessons. Once I do some more research.. like finding out whether or not you have to own your own damn horse.. and erm, cost.. I'm going to see if we can choose that over soccer next year.

In addition to this photo series I have a super easy and super delicious recipe to share. I hadn't even planned on blogging it so it doesn't compare to the setup I normally like to have for you guys, but after Kennedy and Piper had three servings I figured it was well worth it!

Cheap and super easy! Obviously I snagged it on Buzzfeed from a 'spaghetti four ways' post; this is the fourth one. They are titled as heavenly and I hands down agree (I have added two of the others to my grocery list later this week). I made a double batch and altered the ingredients slightly due to frustration in not being able to find fresh basil at the store.

What I used:
1 pound ground sausage, mild
1 pulverized onion
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1 jar tomato basil spaghetti sauce
2 cups milk
1 box pasta

1. Boil water and cook your pasta.

2. Brown your sausage and then add onion, salt, and pepper; cooking until onion is translucent. Every time I read translucent I always pronounce it as trans-Luschek.. like from Orange is the New Black. Where did this association come from? I don't have the slightest idea.

3. Add in sauce and milk and cook until sauce has thickened.

4. Toss in your noodles and mix until they are all coated and delish-ified!

5. Enjoy!

Now I'm starving.
