So my friend Angelique and I totally have a pseudo book club going on and it's kind of amazing. She lives in New York but we are constantly exchanging titles and chatting up books with each other. More recently, hence the book club vibes, we have been finishing or starting a book that the other just finished or started and it's the best. We really haven't had many disagreements on opinions on the novels selected, either!
The last one I/we finished was Twisted River (#12). Another thriller, murder mystery.
The story alternates from the view points of each of the four main characters. It sort of drawls in the beginning but about half-way through events start happening at a decent clip and by the end things are happening so fast you are left wondering why the author took such a slow stroll in the beginning! I would definitely give 4-4.5/5 stars, though.
And for lucky #13, I'll be starting Undeniable: Evolution and the Science of Creation. When I was at Barnes & Noble trying to find Twisted River, I stumbled upon Bill Nye's book and I could not resist using my other 20% off coupon.
Inertia is a property of matter.
