At the beginning of the year my Goodreads app was like, "yo, you wanna set a reading goal for 2016?" And me, being a book lover was like, "you know ittttt, but.. I've been like, super busy with school."
So to be fair to myself, I thought I made a reasonable goal of 24 books. 2 books a month? I can easily do that with everything I've got on my plate. Haha, January-May I was super struggling with school, and then in July I got my new job that has me up and around for the better part of 8 hours a shift. Merp.
I thought I would finish A Rule Against Murder while I was in North Carolina, but that didn't happen. It has been nice being forced to take my time with a book but I have many books on my list that are not good "pick it up when you can" books. Luckily I am still creeping through the Inspector Gamache series so it isn't really an issue.
Next up is #20 for the year. The Brutal Telling by Louise Penny. I'm hoping to meet my goal, guys! I'm only a few books away!
I absolutely looked like an idiot for the sake of this. So, appreciate it. 😂
This series is really worth checking out. Penny is really good and not making character introductions too redundant. This has to be done though because alas, while these books are part of a series they could very much be stand alone novels. If anyone recalls, I stumbled across one of the last books in the series which prompted me to start from book one. It's been a nice ride so far!
Poor Jeb Bush though, hahahaha.
