Ah yes, though we've been celebrating and indulging during the holidays I've still had to maintain my work schedule, but this week everything starts back up again.
This Monday morning is brought to you by 9a pre-school! Kennedy was excited to go back which made me happy but after picking her up at noon her mind seemed to have changed.
Me: "So did you have such a good first day back to school!?"
Ken: "Yes! But do I have school tomorrow?"
Me: "You sure do!"
Ken: *sigh* "But maaaaahhhm!"
Seriously looking forward to the teenage/high school days; the sass is strong with this one.
After I picked Kennedy up from school I was feeling more burnt out than usual, so the girls and I spent some time on the couch together and watched some good old fashioned Paw Patrol in hopes that one.. or three of us would fall victim to a nap. Piper was the only one who ended up snoozing and I still consider that to be a success. When the time unfortunately rolled around for me to start getting ready to work I had to maneuver Piper off of my lap and onto the couch. To Kennedy it must have looked like I was going to move Piper elsewhere to continue her nap and she politely asked, "Can you please leave Piper here with me so I can still have someone to snuggle with?" You guys..
I just love her so much and I love how sweet and kind she is towards her little sister. Of course I obliged hoping that the moment would last for more than five minutes, and it did! Almost an entire thirty minutes went by before Piper woke up.
I live for moments like this.
